IPAT COVID-19 Latest update 23rd June 2021

In order to provide certainty to appellants and their legal representatives regarding oral hearings before the International Protection Appeals Tribunal, the Tribunal has made a decision that all oral hearings scheduled for the remainder of June and for the months of July and August 2021 will now take place online by way of audio-video (A/V) link.

A risk assessment by the Health and Safety Manager of the Department of Justice will take place before the end of August and parties will be notified at that stage as to whether a return or partial return to on-site hearings will be possible in September and onwards.
